IRAM

Innovation

On April 10, 2019, the first picture of a black hole was published by the EHT (event horizon telescope). The EHT is a collection of telescopes throughout the world, all dedicated to the goal of better understanding our universe.

This video explains the work of IRAM, one of the participating institutes gathering data for the EHT. With two radiotelescope centers in Europe, IRAM’s researchers have been working with the international EHT project to play an integral part in taking the first picture of a black hole.

This video was shot in Spain and in France. We used our team of dronists and cameramen to support IRAM in this project.
